Will my bike arrive assembled?
- Your bike will arrive 90% assembled. We will provide the tools and written assembly instructions. Assembling your e-bike should take about 30-45 minutes.
What do I do if something goes wrong with my bike during the warranty period?
- Please contact us at Steven@AllTerrainElectricBikes.com, describe the problem in detail and provide photos or videos so that we can diagnosis the problem. To learn more about what is or is not covered, please read our warranty page.
When should I remove the battery(s)?
- Batteries should be removed when transporting, charging, servicing, storing (when not in use), and cleaning the bike.
- Once the battery(s) are removed, discharge the excess electricity by holding the POWER button before working on your bike for safety.
How long does it take to charge the battery(s)?
- Charging the battery(s) from empty to full charge typically takes 6-8 hours.
- The LED light on the charger will turn from red to green when fully charge. Once charged, disconnect the charger.
- Only charge the battery(s) when temperatures range between 32 and 113 degrees.
How do I clean my bike?
- Remove the battery(s) and discharge the excess electricity by holding the POWER button down before cleaning your bike for safety.
- You should clean your bike with warm water, a moist soft rag, and an automotive grade soap. Do not use a hose or pressure washer to clean the bike. This can cause water damage to electrical components and will likely void the warranty.
- If your bike is equipped with a second battery, it is recommended you remove the bracket as well (you don't want to get the contacts wet).
- Cover your display with a plastic bag to prevent water from entering it as damage may occur. The controller and connection are water resistant, not waterproof.
- Water damage is not covered under our standard warranty.
- Make sure the bike is completely dry before putting it away.
How often should I service my bike?
- You should visually inspect your bike before every ride.
- Check tire pressure, brake functionality, and frame integrity
- Make sure chain is lubed and battery(s) is fully charged
- You should have your bike professionally inspected and serviced annually.
How fast and how far will my bike go?
- There are many variables that can affect distance and speed including weight of rider, temperature, terrain, tire pressure, pedal assistance, speed, battery age and condition.
Do I need a license to ride an electric bike?
- In most cases, you do not need a license. However, some areas may have specific regulations, so it's best to check local laws.
Can I unlock the bike for additional speed?
- All of our bikes are shipped from the factory as a Class 2 e-bike (meaning it features a throttle, the motor is limited to 750W and has a top speed of 20 mph).
- If you modify the wattage output of the motor and increase the speed of the bike, you do so at your own risk. This modification puts greater strain on the bike components which will not be covered under warranty. All Terrain Electric Bikes LLC advises against this and will not be liable for any damages, injuries, or deaths that might occur.
- This modification changes the Class 2 classification of the bike and makes the bike illegal to operate on public roads and bike paths.
- Make sure you check local laws to verify you're not breaking any before modifying the motor(s) output.
